Matthew Vaughn’s spy film was a surprising hit in 2014. It had the right amount of action and silliness (heads exploding like fireworks), and Vaughn found a engaging lead in Taron Egerton. They’re prepping the sequel, dubbed THE GOLDEN CIRCLE, and they’re booking some cool people.
Pedro Pascal (headline picture) is probably best known as Oberon Martell, who in his GAME OF THRONES grand send off had his head crushed by a pair of hands. We then got some news through a clever way.
This was found on Channing Tatum’s Twitter feed. THE GOLDEN CIRCLE revolves around the Kingsmen traveling to the USA to meet up with their American counterparts, the Statesmen. Tatum looks to fill one of those roles. That’s exciting. And then this:
If you saw the first film, you’ll recognize right away that the glasses correspond to Colin Firth’s Harry Hart. But of course, Hart took a bullet to the eye, so I’m not sure if this poster refers to his questionable resurrection, or maybe just a nod towards a possible flashback of some sort. We’ll find out in the near future.
