Superhero pose, go!
I'm a huge X-Men fan, but it's even hard for me to defend the marketing team behind the posters of the merry band of mutants. X-MEN: APOCALYPSE closes the origin trilogy, and will likely be the curtain call for Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence, who both are probably ready to move away into something more critically rewarding.
APOCALYPSE tells the story of the first mutant on Earth, who has considerable powers, and uses them for, what else, world domination. Though, demolition may be more appropriate. I like the infusion of new mutants Cyclops, Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, but the jury's out on whether director Bryan Singer can wrangle them all into something coherent and enjoyable.
I will say this about the poster. At least they get the villains costumes correct. Especially Olivia Munn's Psylocke, who not only looks the part, but her get-up is absolutely spot on. I also love Storm's mohawk, which harks back to her 80's style do.
Maybe I'm talking myself into this after all,
