ROBIN WRIGHT JOINS BLADE RUNNER SEQUEL

March 31, 2016 Adam Sioui

Still unnecessary, but getting better.

Robin Wright–fresh off the fourth season of HOUSE OF CARDS–will be joining the cast for the sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 classic, BLADE RUNNER. I’m still a little curious as to why producers think a return to that dystopian L.A. is a good idea, but Wright will be teaming up with Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford to presumably form the sexiest trio of replicants imaginable.

Scott won’t be back behind the camera, but they replaced him with Denis Villeneuve, who has built up a ton of street cred after PRISONERS, ENEMY, and SICARIO. We have a lot of time to let this marinate, as BLADE RUNNER 2: BLADE HARDER isn’t scheduled to release until 2018.
