Manners maketh the man.
A sequel to the successful KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE has been in the pipeline for a while, but now we officially have a title. KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE will once again feature lead, Eggsy (Taran Egerton), a down-on-his-luck street kid turned super spy as he protects Queen and country from would-be ne'er do-goods.
This time the attack literally hits home, meaning Kingsmen headquarters. Mark Strong returns as Merlin, while Halle Berry and Julianne Moore join in on the fun. Word is that Eggsy and company will travel to the US to join forces with the American equivalent, dubbed "Statesmen."
Unfortunately, it appears Colin Firth, whose Lancelot stole the show with one of the great (and brutal) action pieces of 2015, will not be returning, neither in flashback nor resurrection, as he bit the dust shockingly at the end of the second act.
(Don't watch this at work.)
Matthew Vaughn is directing once more, which means good things for the spy game on June 16, 2017 when THE GOLDEN CIRCLE lands in theatres.
